Just got home from a screening of Linotype: The Film, directed by Doug Wilson. What a fascinating history: the machine revolutionized the printing industry - newspapers, magazines, books - and within a hundred years of its invention, was made obsolete.
It’s a charming film - I encourage you to see it if possible.
Oh, oh, oh. So much love for Buster Keaton. That face.
"I think I have had the happiest and luckiest of lives. Maybe this is because I never expected as much as I got … And when the knocks came I felt it was no surprise. I had always known life was like that, full of uppercuts for the deserving and the undeserving alike.” - Buster Keaton
